Momentum Continues For Auctionworks With Key Customer Acquisitions
April 17, 2003 (ATLANTA)--- Atlanta-based Auctionworks(TM), the leading provider of online marketplace sales management software, has announced that Golfsmith International, a 28-store golf retailer based in Austin, Texas and Olympus America, a global leader in developing new technologies and designing, manufacturing and marketing optical-digital product solutions for healthcare and consumer segments, have agreed to work with Auctionworks.
Auctionworks' software enables companies to efficiently manage the day-to- day business operations of listing items, tracking sales and processing online transactions using a company's existing legacy system or Auctionworks' standalone online sales management software. Golfsmith sells under the eBay seller name Golfsmith_International and Olympus sells reconditioned consumer camera and related products under the name OlympusAmerica. "We chose Auctionworks because of its successful track record in the golf segment and because its software enabled us to take advantage of our Oracle backend systems," said Golfsmith CIO, Kip Miles.
"Olympus selected Auctionworks for its quick and efficient set-up process and eBay expertise, helping us leverage an effective channel for reaching consumers online," said Keith Swinderski, Business Development Manager for Internet Services in Olympus' Consumer Products Group.
