• Our worm bins are easy to assemble. No tools required.

• Our unit comes with enough Coconut Coir (worm bedding) for 1 tray, which comes either in the form of a brick or bag of approximately 325 gms. This is much larger compared to the 250 gms that came with the old styles - more worm bedding to start with!

• Worms are NOT included, but we can supply the Red Wiggler Composting worms or Euro Nightcrawlers for use in these Gusanito® Worm Composter. Suggested quantity is 2-4 pounds.


• If you wish to expand your system, you can buy extra trays. Check the four and five tray options too!


• Our compromise with the environment: The bins are made with recycled plastic. There might be some color variation due to the recicled material. The brown-non-ink packaging box can be shredded and used as worm bedding too! Please, recycle the most you can!

Worm composting is an incredibly efficient way to convert kitchen waste into nutrient-rich compost for your garden. The Gusanito® Worm Composter design allows food waste to be put into upper trays separating it from finished compost in the lower trays. Simply fill the bottom tray with red wiggler worms, bedding and food scraps. As the worms finish digesting, they will migrate upward into the tray above, leaving rich castings behind. In full operation, the Gusanito® Worm Composter houses 10,000 to 12,000 worms (approx 10 lb), consumes 5 to 8 pounds of food a day, allowing you to harvest a full try of castings per month. Each unit comes with full instructions and everything you need to get started. The BLACK Gusanito® Composter is made in the U.S.A. And constructed from high quality recycled plastic, with a limited 5 year warranty on materials and workmanship. It is very simple to assemble and can be stored inside or outside. Measures 16 X 16 X 28, height depends on number of trays used.
